Forest Golf Club & Inn - 18 Hole Course

The 18-hole course at Forest Golf Club & Inn wraps around the village of Forest, a few minutes inland from the beaches of southern Lake Huron. It is a compact layout — a par of 66 over roughly 4,612 yards — built on gentle farmland rolls, with mature hardwoods, a winding creek and a handful of ponds doing most of the defending. Short yardage does not mean easy: the emphasis falls on wedges, angles and putting rather than driver, and it is a genuinely walkable round. With a 75-room inn, a restaurant and a disc golf course all on the property, most visitors turn a tee time here into a stay-and-play weekend. Detroit, London and Kitchener-Waterloo are all comfortable drives away.
