About Fruitvale
Fruitvale is a village in the Beaver Valley of BC's Kootenay Boundary, about ten minutes east of Trail on Highway 3B. Orchards once filled the valley floor and gave the community its name; today it is a quiet residential base for the Columbia Valley's mining and forestry towns. The surrounding hills are thick with cedar and fir, and the valley keeps Pacific Time even though the Rockies are only a couple of hours east.
