About Port Alberni
Port Alberni sits at the head of the Alberni Inlet, in the middle of Vancouver Island where the Beaufort Range drops to tidewater. A forestry and fishing town turned outdoor hub, it is the halfway point on Highway 4 between Nanaimo and the surf beaches of Tofino and Ucluelet. Its sheltered inland valley gives it the warmest, driest summers on the island's west side and one of the longest golf seasons on Vancouver Island.
