Agassiz is the main community in the District of Kent, sitting on the flat farmland of the upper Fraser Valley about 120 km east of Vancouver. Highway 7 runs through town, and the Agassiz-Rosedale Bridge crosses the Fraser to meet Highway 1 a few minutes south. It is farm country first - corn, hazelnuts, dairy and a federal agricultural research farm - with Mount Cheam and the Cascade foothills filling the skyline in every direction. Harrison Hot Springs and the south end of Harrison Lake are roughly 6 km north up Hot Springs Road, which is also where the area's golf is found. Harrison Resort Golf Course plays as a flat, walkable nine between the highway and the lake, and its Pacific-side climate keeps the grass green far later in the year than anywhere in the Interior.

Agassiz is in the upper Fraser Valley on Highway 7, roughly 120 km (about 90 minutes) east of Vancouver. The Agassiz-Rosedale Bridge links it to Highway 1 just south of town, so it is also an easy detour off the main route to Hope and the Interior.
