Vanderhoof Tee Times

Vanderhoof sits on the Nechako River in the central interior of British Columbia and bills itself as the geographic centre of the province. It straddles Highway 16, the Yellowhead, about 97 km west of Prince George, and serves as the supply town for the surrounding farmland, forestry operations and the Nechako Valley's ranching country. The Nechako Bird Sanctuary on the river's edge draws large flocks of migrating Canada geese each spring and fall. Local golf is at Omineca Golf & Country Club, which offers two distinct nines, the Omineca Front 9 and Back 9, on the open ground near town.
