About Powell River
Powell River is a coastal city on the upper Sunshine Coast, reached only by ferry and set between the Salish Sea and the Coast Mountains. Built around a historic pulp mill townsite, it looks west across Malaspina Strait to Vancouver Island and east into the lakes and old-growth of the Powell Forest. Its mild, sheltered maritime climate gives one of the longest golf seasons in British Columbia.
