Arkona Fairways Golf Club

Tucked into the farm country of Lambton Shores northeast of Sarnia, Arkona Fairways is a quietly appealing 18-hole layout that has been welcoming Southwestern Ontario golfers since the late 1980s. Mature trees line most of the fairways, framing shots and rewarding players who keep the ball in play rather than swinging out of their shoes. At roughly 5,300 yards and a par of 68 it is not a long test, so scoring comes down to accurate approaches into small, quick, well-kept greens. The round moves along briskly and suits mixed groups — low handicaps can chase birdies while newer players rarely feel overwhelmed.
