About Port Elgin
Port Elgin is a Lake Huron beach town in the municipality of Saugeen Shores, Bruce County, about 35 km west of Owen Sound and just south of the Bruce Peninsula. It has a long sand beach and harbour on the lake, with farmland and the Saugeen River valley inland. Summers are busy with cottagers and Bruce Power staff, and the golf season generally runs from mid-April to late October.
