East Gwillimbury is a town in northern York Region, immediately north of Newmarket and Aurora and about an hour from downtown Toronto. It blends growing residential neighbourhoods in Holland Landing and Sharon with broad stretches of working farmland, conservation land, and the Holland River wetlands. Silver Lakes is an R.F. Moote design that opened in 1993 on the rolling country north of Newmarket. Playing 7,100 yards to a par of 72 from the championship tees, the course was built to USGA specifications with generous landing areas, multiple sets of tees, and a steady mix of water and bunker challenges. Mature trees, lake views, and a comfortable clubhouse have made it a long-running favourite for groups and corporate outings in northern York Region.
