Doon Valley Golf Course

Doon Valley's championship 18 is a City of Kitchener municipal course laid out by C.E. "Robbie" Robinson in 1955 and renovated by Shawn Watters in 2010, playing to par 72 with four sets of tees from 5,113 to 6,543 yards. It runs through the Grand River valley on the south edge of the city, and the elevation change is the defining feature — the walk is a genuinely strenuous one. Fairways are on the narrow side with thick rough and substantial bunkering. It is distinct from the club's short Classic 9 on the same property, and from Rockway, the City's other municipal course, a 1935 Stanley Thompson layout of about 5,520 yards playing to par 70.
