Beaverdale Golf Club

Beaverdale sits just off the 401 north of Cambridge, an eighteen-hole parkland layout in the mid-twentieth-century mould with heavy mature timber lining nearly every fairway. At about 4,759 yards to a par of 67 from the back tees it is a short card, but water comes into play on half the holes and the small, gently rolling greens punish anything sprayed off line. The 445-yard par-five sixth is the sternest test, squeezed into a narrow landing corridor, while the short par-three fourth plays to a green all but ringed by water. Because it is flat and tightly routed it is genuinely pleasant to walk, and the turf is among the better conditioned in the region. Central to Kitchener-Waterloo, Cambridge and Guelph, it draws a steady local crowd and has a full restaurant and banquet room attached.
