Golf course
Huntsville, Ontario
Lakeside is the shorter and older of the two courses at Deerhurst Resort in Huntsville. C.E. (Robbie) Robertson built the original nine in 1966 and Thomas McBroom redesigned it in 1988; it plays about 4,286 yards from the blue tees when the nine is played twice, with Muskoka elevation change and views over Peninsula Lake. It is a markedly gentler test than its sibling, the McBroom-designed Deerhurst Highlands, which is the resort's full-length championship course. Golfers commonly use Lakeside for a quick round, family play or a warm-up.
