Golf course
Bracebridge, Ontario
Muskoka Highlands opened in 1993 on South Monck Drive in Bracebridge and describes itself as a links-style course rather than the wooded, rock-strewn layout common in the region. The ground is gently undulating and open off the tee, narrowing at most greens, so wind and approach accuracy matter more than tree-lined corridors. It plays to par 69 at 6,024 yards from the gold tees, with club and forward sets at about 5,455 and 4,860 yards, and the card leans heavily on par 3s and 4s. The course is family-owned and dog-friendly, and is usually among the first in Muskoka to open in spring and the last to close.
