Golf course
Ariss, Ontario
Ariss Valley is a 27-hole semi-private facility on the outskirts of Guelph, with three nines - Pines, Willows and Lakes - that pair into three different 18-hole rounds. This combination opens on the Willows, the most heavily treed of the three at roughly 3,200 yards, where mature timber narrows the corridors and puts a premium on driving accuracy, then finishes on the shorter Lakes nine of about 3,050 yards, which leans on ponds and water carries rather than length. Together they play to a par of 70 over rolling ground dotted with ponds, a creek that crosses several holes, and white sand bunkering used throughout the property. The Pines nine, used in the club's other two pairings, is the longest of the three.
