Golf course
LaSalle, Ontario
Seven Lakes in LaSalle, just outside Windsor, opened its Championship Course in 2003 to a Bruce Matthews III design built to USGA specifications. It plays to a par of 71 and stretches to 6,933 yards from the black tees, rated 73.4 with a slope of 132. The opening and closing holes are parkland in character, running through beech, oak and maple, while the middle of the round turns links-like, with rolling fairways, bunkering and long grasses. The seven lakes the club is named for are in play across the property. The other course on site, the Old Course, is a 1970 Robert Williamson nine of par 31 and under 2,000 yards, built around a single large lake with an island green.
