Grandview Golf & Country Club opened in 1988 to a Bill Robinson design on the outskirts of Dartmouth, off Highway 7 near Lake Major and about twenty minutes from downtown Halifax. It is an eighteen-hole course of par 72 measuring 6,514 to 6,584 yards from the back tees, 6,217 from the white and 5,587 from the red, with a rating of 72.2 against a slope of 139 from the back. The parkland ground is gently undulating with some elevation change, mature trees along the fairways, strategic bunkering and water features throughout. The greens are bentgrass and the fairways bluegrass, the course is fully irrigated, and the season runs from roughly late April to the end of October.
