Golf course
Port Elgin, Ontario
Saugeen Golf Club sits between Port Elgin and Southampton near the Lake Huron shore and has 27 holes split into the Legacy, Sunrise and Sunset nines. This round opens on the Sunrise nine, the newest of the three at 1995, par 36 and about 3,199 yards, known for undulating greens and water in play, then finishes on Legacy - the club's original 1925 Stanley Thompson nine, par 36 and roughly 3,209 yards. Both nines were revised by Graham Cooke in 2008, and the pairing measures about 6,336 yards, the shortest of the club's three 18-hole rounds. The third nine, Sunset, was added in the mid-1950s and is the longest at roughly 3,323 yards.
