Golf course
Port Elgin, Ontario
Saugeen Golf Club is a 27-hole club between Port Elgin and Southampton on the Lake Huron shore, made up of three nines - Legacy, Sunrise and Sunset - that rotate into three 18-hole pairings. This round starts on Legacy, the club's original 1925 Stanley Thompson nine and the most traditional of the three, with small greens and classic bunkering, later revised by Graham Cooke. It finishes on Sunset, added in 1956, which is broader and more generously fairwayed. Both nines are par 36, giving a par 72 round of roughly 6,400 yards; the club's third nine, Sunrise, opened in 1995 and is known for undulating greens and water.
