About the course
Stone Tree sits just south of Owen Sound where Highway 6 and 10 run beneath the limestone cliffs of the Niagara Escarpment, and has been in play since 1998. The 18-hole course measures about 6,051 yards to a par of 70, using the escarpment's ledges and hardwood bush to defend a fairly compact routing. It is a full-service club rather than a golf-only property: the clubhouse adds a fitness centre, indoor pool and sauna alongside lounge and banquet space. The Bruce Trail's Sydenham section runs along the eastern edge of the golf property.
