Timberwolf Golf Club

Timberwolf is a Thomas McBroom design that opened in 1998 on Maley Drive in Garson, and is the longest and most demanding course in the Golf Sudbury group at 7,126 yards, par 72, rated 74.4 with a slope of 137. The routing is spread over an unusually large footprint through birch stands, wetland, streams and exposed Canadian Shield rock, so holes play in near-isolation from one another. Tees average around 7,000 square feet and greens run from 5,500 to 9,000 square feet, both far larger than is typical for the region. It hosted Canadian Tour events starting in 1999 and remains the group's championship venue, in contrast to the shorter, more traditional Cedar Green and Monte Vista.
