Lively Golf Club

Lively Golf Club opened in 1959 to a Robert Moote design and has served the mining communities southwest of Sudbury ever since. The eighteen-hole layout plays to a par of 71 over roughly 6,100 yards, threading between rock ridges, birch and pine stands and a chain of ponds and marsh that borders several holes. Undulating fairways and well-placed bunkers mean approach angles matter, and the shorter par fours tempt you into decisions you may regret. The clubhouse is a busy community hub with a large banquet hall and a balcony overlooking the course, and the club runs a full slate of opens and championships through the season.
