The Links at Dover Coast

The Links at Dover Coast is a links-style course built as part of the Dover Coast residential community in Port Dover, on the north shore of Lake Erie. It was designed by Darrell Huxham and opened as a nine of par 36 measuring about 3,535 yards from the black tees, with a slope of 142 that reflects heavy mounding and exposure rather than trees. Ponds throughout the property double as the site's stormwater and irrigation system, including one of more than three acres, and the spoil from excavating them was shaped into ridges standing as much as nine metres above original grade. The club has published an 18-hole, par-72 layout plan and has been expanding toward it in stages.
