Golf course
Jarvis, Ontario
Tucked into the farmland of Haldimand County between Jarvis and Hagersville, Sandusk Golf Club opened in the early 1990s and wraps its holes around Jacob's Pond and the winding course of Sandusk Creek. Water is the defining feature — it factors into more than half the holes — while generous fairways keep the course friendly for casual players. At par 70 and about 5,600 yards from the back tees it is not a long test, but undulating greens and well-placed hazards give better golfers plenty to think about. Its best-known oddity is a 700-yard par 6, the 'Sandusk Monster', which is a rarity anywhere in Ontario.
