Golf course
Midland, Ontario
Midland Golf & Country Club opened in 1919 on Highway 93 south of Midland, laid out by Nicol Thompson, with later work by Doug Carrick and Ian Andrew. It is an 18-hole par 70 of about 6,362 yards with a 71.8 rating, so it defends with routing and green complexes rather than length. The ground is the rolling, treed terrain typical of the Georgian Bay side of Simcoe County. It is a member club that also sells public tee times.
