King's Forest Golf Club

King's Forest is one of the City of Hamilton's municipal courses, laid out across roughly 250 acres of the Red Hill Valley in the city's east end at the foot of the Niagara Escarpment. It was built by city parks foreman Matt Broman with Chedoke head professional Rod Goodes and opened in late 1973, and at 7,150 yards from the tips it is one of the longer par-72 municipal courses in Ontario. The parkland routing uses the valley walls for several elevated tee shots, crosses Red Hill Creek on six holes, and includes numerous doglegs; nine of its ten par fours measure over 400 yards. The 11th, a 395-yard par four, drops more than 100 feet from tee to a tree-lined fairway.
