Golf course
Lunenburg, Nova Scotia
Bluenose Golf Club dates to 1933 and sits on Kaulbach Head, a headland directly across the harbour from the UNESCO town of Lunenburg. It is a nine-hole course played twice from different tee sets for an eighteen-hole round, par 35 for the nine and 70 over eighteen, measuring 5,295 yards over the standard eighteen and 4,745 from the forward set, with a men's rating of 66.7 and slope of 108. The ground is very hilly with near-constant elevation change, blind shots and small greens defended by bumps and hillocks, and there are harbour and ocean views from virtually every hole. The 8th runs along the water and the 9th climbs steeply past historic cannons, so carts are recommended.
