The Links at Penn Hills

The Links at Penn Hills opened in 2003 to a Les Furber design at Shubenacadie, about fifteen minutes from Halifax airport. It is an eighteen-hole course of par 72 measuring 7,236 yards from the black tees, 6,222 from the blue and 5,912 from the white, with a rating of 75.0 and slope of 136 from the blacks. The two halves differ in character: a tight, wooded front nine gives way to a back nine that meanders along the Shubenacadie River and is exposed to wind. Rolling hills, tidal river dyke lands and large undulating bentgrass greens define the ground.
