The Lakes Golf Club

The Lakes Golf Club is at Ben Eoin on Route 4, about fifteen minutes west of Sydney on the Bras d'Or Lakes. It plays eighteen holes to par 72, stretching from 4,801 yards at the red tees to 6,904 at the black, which rate 74.1 against a slope of 147; the blue tees measure 6,016 and rate 69.5 and 139. Elevation change is the defining feature, with holes dropping and climbing among rock outcrops, streams and meadows above the lake, and each one has a distinct look.
