Garden River, Ontario
Silver Creek opened in 2010 on Garden River First Nation land northeast of Sault Ste. Marie, laid out by Arthur Hills and Steve Forrest & Associates with Chris Wilczynski. At a par of 72 and up to roughly 7,435 yards it is among the longest championship tests in Northern Ontario, though multiple tee decks bring it back to a sensible length. The site straddles the edge of the Precambrian Shield and the St. Marys River lowland, so granite ridges, wetlands and mixed bush frame the holes. A practice facility and an on-site restaurant round out the public daily-fee operation.
