Golf course
Collingwood, Ontario
Monterra opened in 1989 as Blue Mountain Resort's golf course, laid out by Canadian architect Thomas McBroom at the foot of the Niagara Escarpment. The 18 holes play to a par of 72 over roughly 6,580 yards of rolling bentgrass fairway, with 86 bunkers, ravines, creeks and ponds spread across the property. Elevated tee shots look straight out at the ski hills, and GPS-equipped carts come with every round. On-course food and drink is served at the Sanctuary, and twilight nine-hole rounds are offered alongside the full 18.
