Mission Hills Golf Course — The Badger

The Badger is Mission Hills' second nine, a companion par-3 loop that shares the same ponderosa-covered bench above Cranbrook. Its holes play a touch longer and more uphill than The Pine's, so a mid-iron is often the right club and the run-up shot becomes a real option into the firm greens. At par 27 the nine can be walked comfortably in an hour, and combining both sides gives an 18-hole par-3 round of 54. Kootenay Rockies views, cheap rates and an easy walk make it one of the most approachable courses in the East Kootenay.
