Fort McMurray Golf Club — Big River / Black Bear

Fort McMurray Golf Club is a twenty-seven-hole facility in Alberta's far northeast, carved out of boreal forest above the Athabasca River. This is the Big River and Black Bear pairing, one of three eighteen-hole combinations the club rotates through its nines. Spruce and birch line every corridor and elevation changes are substantial for a northern course. Long midsummer daylight lets rounds start unusually late in the day.
