Golf course
Canmore, Alberta
Canmore Golf & Curling Club has been part of the Bow Valley since 1926, one of the oldest clubs in the Canadian Rockies and still a community-run facility that curls through the winter and golfs through the summer. The par-71 layout plays about 6,460 yards along the Bow River, reshaped over the years by Les Furber into a mountain course that stays genuinely walkable. Water and generous bunkering shape most decisions, but the abiding memory is the skyline, with the Three Sisters and Mount Rundle stacked above the treeline on nearly every hole. Rates step down through the evening, and the long Alberta summer light makes a twilight nine here particularly good value.
