Golf course
Inverness, Nova Scotia
Cabot Links was designed by Rod Whitman with Jeff Mingay, opening as a ten-hole preview in 2011 and as a full eighteen in 2012. It plays to par 70, 35 out and 35 in, at 6,854 yards from the black tees, 6,455 from the green and 6,020 from the silver, with ratings of 73.7/132 and 71.6/125. It is a genuine links built on a former coal-mine site on the Gulf of St. Lawrence shore at Inverness, with sandy soil, firm fairways and dunes, and more elevation change than a classic links. Six holes play right along the water and the routing wraps the town beach and harbour. The course is walking only.
