Golf course
Brantford, Ontario
Brant Valley occupies genuinely dramatic ground on Governor's Road east of Brantford, where Fairchild's Creek carves through the property and comes into play on twelve of the eighteen holes. Big elevation changes define the round — the second hole asks for a 210-yard carry over the creek to a fairway some sixty feet below, and the signature par-three 17th plays from an elevated tee across the creek to a green set against mature woodland. At roughly 5,500 yards and a par of 71 it is a shot-maker's course rather than a slugger's, and no two holes ask the same question. Expect to reach for nearly every club in the bag. An elevated patio and air-conditioned lounge overlook the valley for the post-round debrief.
