Black Bear Ridge Golf Course

Black Bear Ridge sits on Harmony Road north of Belleville and opened in spring 2005. The course was routed and designed by owner Brian Magee, who worked from topographical maps rather than hiring an outside architect, and the championship 18 carries his name. It plays to a par of 72 and stretches to just over 7,000 yards from the back tees, with six sets of tees starting near 5,150 yards. Golf Digest named it among the best new North American designs at its opening, and it has since appeared on ScoreGolf's Top 100 in Canada list. A separate nine-hole executive short course operates alongside the championship layout.
