Golf course
Belleville, Ontario
The South Course is the original layout at Bay of Quinte Golf & Country Club, just east of Belleville. Its front nine dates to 1921 and was laid out by Howard Watson, with a second nine added around 1951 by C.E. "Robbie" Robinson to complete an 18-hole course. It is a classic parkland design of par 70 at roughly 6,500 yards, with tree-lined fairways and small, subtly contoured greens that reward position over distance. It is the older and more traditional of the club's two courses; the newer North Course is a modern par 72 with wider fairways, larger greens and far more elevation change.
