Omineca Golf & Country Club — Back 9

The back nine at Omineca completes the club's par-72 layout beside the Nechako River just outside Vanderhoof. Playing to a par of 36 over about 3,100 yards, the inward half tightens the corridors, brings the tree line closer to the landing areas and asks for more shaping off the tee than the front. Bentgrass greens are modest in size and generally receptive, which suits the run-up shots the firm Nechako Valley turf encourages. Long northern summer evenings make a late second nine one of the club's simple pleasures.
