Woodstock Golf & Curling Club

Woodstock Golf & Curling Club brands itself as established in 1898 and was redesigned in 1900 by John Peacock, the professional from the Algonquin at St. Andrews. It is a nine-hole course played twice for an eighteen-hole round, with extra tee boxes so the second nine plays differently, par 33 for the nine and 66 over eighteen, measuring 2,563 yards per nine and 5,126 over eighteen from the black tees. The parkland ground covers about nineteen hectares in the centre of Woodstock beside Connell Park, with evergreen forest and swampy ground as hazards and the clubhouse on the highest point. Small greens make it a short-game test, and the clubhouse is shared with a four-sheet curling rink.
