Quarry Lion Golf Resort

Quarry Lion is a 12-hole executive course on Bowmanville Avenue north of Bowmanville, the former Quarry Lakes Golf & Recreation Centre, which was built in 1998 around a large spring-fed lake and originally ran 18 holes before being cut back to 12. The holes are short and tight, cut through coniferous forest with dog-legs, water and sand in play. Rounds are sold as 9, 12 or 24 holes rather than the usual 9/18 split. The practice side is substantial for a course this size, with more than 30 hitting mats, a grass tee, a chipping and putting green and a practice bunker.
