Golf course
Moncton, New Brunswick
Mountain Woods Golf Club opened in 1967 to a Stan Steeves design in north-end Moncton, beside the Magnetic Hill attractions. It was known as Magnetic Hill Golf Club from 1998 until 2012, when six new holes debuted and the original name returned. The eighteen-hole course plays to par 72 at 6,195 yards from the blue tees, 5,717 from the white and 5,300 from the red, rated from the blues at between 68.5/117 and 70.0/123 depending on the source. It is a traditional tree-lined parkland layout with significant elevation change, long green-to-tee walks, water on many holes and sand bunkering, and the 9th and 18th share an unusually large green.
