Hollinger Golf Club

Hollinger is Timmins' 18-hole course, founded in 1922 by the Hollinger Mine for its employees and sold to the membership in 1974, when it took its present name. John F. Robinson designed the expansion from nine holes to eighteen, which opened in 2001; the course plays to par 72 at about 6,530 yards with bent grass greens. The two halves are named and differ sharply: the Highlands front nine climbs over exposed Canadian Shield rock, with a sixth hole notable for its elevation change and split fairway, while the Lakelands back nine drops into the lower part of the property where ponds and streams affect holes 10 through 15 before the closing holes return uphill.
