Cedarhurst Golf Club

Cedarhurst sits east of Lake Simcoe near Beaverton and traces back to 1922, when it began as a three-hole layout. Stanley Thompson expanded it to nine holes in 1926, and Bert Turcotte added the second nine in 1964, producing today's par-70 course of roughly 6,200 yards. The Thompson holes are the tighter half, running along cedar-lined fairways with small greens that put a premium on approach play. The club is a member of the Stanley Thompson Society, and its clubhouse deck overlooks the first and ninth holes.
