Golf course
East Gwillimbury, Ontario
Pheasant Run is a 27-hole public facility built in 1981 to a Rene Muylaert design, set in the hardwood forest of the Oak Ridges Moraine about half an hour north of Toronto. Its three nines - Highlands, Midlands and Southern Uplands - combine into eighteen-hole rounds of par 71 to 73 and roughly 6,278 to 6,533 yards. Tree-lined corridors, elevation change and moraine sand define the playing character. A large clubhouse also handles weddings and tournaments, and the club keeps its own apiary.
