Revelstoke Golf Club

Golf has been played at Revelstoke since 1924, but the course took its present shape when Norman H. Woods rebuilt it in 1974 into a 6,537-yard par 72. The layout occupies a bend of the Columbia River on ground that was once the town's horse-racing track, and the 1911 race headquarters still serves as the clubhouse. Towering fir and cedar line every fairway, strategically placed bunkers guard the approaches, and the Monashee and Selkirk ranges — Mount Begbie most prominent among them — dominate the view from nearly every tee. It is one of the most scenic and best-conditioned mountain courses in the interior, and easy walking distance from downtown.
