Ponoka Community Golf Club runs through the Battle River valley on the edge of town, an 18-hole par 72 with real elevation change for central Alberta. Mature trees, rolling fairways and river-bottom holes make it one of the better-liked municipal-scale courses on the QEII corridor. Green fees stay modest and the sheet fills quickly on summer weekends.
