Golf course
Penticton, Okanagan
Penticton Golf & Country Club sits in the heart of the city between Okanagan and Skaha lakes, on the ground it has occupied since the layout was stretched to championship length in 1965. Its roots run back further still, to a nine-hole course that once shared its fairways with a racetrack and to the first 18-hole course built in the BC Interior in 1961. Today it plays as a mature par-70 parkland track of just over 6,000 yards, where willow-lined fairways and water put a premium on position over power. The semi-private club welcomes public play, and green fees step down through twilight rates over the long Okanagan evenings.
