Golf course
Surrey, British Columbia
Meridian Hills has been serving South Surrey golfers since 1959, when the family that still runs it laid an 18-hole par-3 course over a former hazelnut farm. The card totals par 54 across about 2,087 yards, with holes from roughly 80 to 160 yards played over genuinely undulating ground rather than a flat practice field. Furgus Creek crosses the property and mature evergreens separate the corridors, giving a short course an unusually park-like feel. Its position in the Lower Mainland's driest pocket keeps it playable through most of the coastal winter.
