Golf course
Landry, New Brunswick
Golf Pokemouche runs along the Pokemouche River at Landry, in the middle of New Brunswick's Acadian Peninsula. Its name comes from a Mi'kmaq word for a bird sanctuary, and the eighteen holes are cut through partly wooded ground to a par of 72, measuring 6,156 yards from the yellow tees, 5,869 from the blue and 5,150 from the red. The yellow tees rate 71 against a slope of 131. It is shorter than a modern championship layout, so the trees and the shape of each hole matter more than length.
