Clare Golf & Country Club grew from a nine whose first five holes opened in 1967 and was completed in 1968 under club member Louis Gaudet, with a second nine built in-house by the Board and opened on 21 June 1986. It is an eighteen-hole course of men's par 71 and women's par 72, measuring 6,146 yards from the back tees and 5,449 from the red, rated between 69.8/118 and 70.2/121 from the back. The parkland layout occupies the former Jeremie Comeau farm in the Acadian village of Comeauville, on open rolling ground overlooking St. Marys Bay, with a driving range on site. It has hosted Nova Scotia Junior, Men's and Ladies Amateur and Mid-Amateur championships.
